Spot Rupiah Closes Weaker at Rp 15,580 Per US Dollar Today (14/3)

ILUSTRASI. Thursday (14/3), the spot rupiah closed down 0.03% to Rp 15,580 per US dollar.


RUPIAH - JAKARTA. The exchange rate of the rupiah in the spot market is under pressure until the end of trading today. On Thursday (14/3), the spot rupiah closed at the level of Rp 15,580 per US dollar.

This caused the rupiah to weaken slightly by 0.03% compared to the closing the previous day at Rp 15,575 per US dollar. The movement of the rupiah is in line with the majority of currencies in Asia.

Until 15.00 WIB, the South Korean won became the currency with the deepest depreciation in Asia after closing down 0.27%.

Next, the Taiwan dollar closed down 0.13% and the Chinese yuan corrected 0.08%. Followed by the Japanese yen which slipped 0.07%.

Next, the Thai baht and the Malaysian ringgit depreciated by 0.06% and 0.05% respectively. Then there is the Philippine peso which closed down 0.04%.

Then there is the Singapore dollar which appears to weaken slightly by 0.02% against the greenback this afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Hong Kong dollar became the currency with the largest appreciation in Asia after rising 0.02%. Followed by the Indian rupee which strengthened 0.02%
