RUPIAH - JAKARTA. The rupiah exchange rate in the spot market managed to continue strengthening until the end of trading today. On Thursday (22/2), the spot rupiah closed at the level of Rp 15,590 per US dollar.
This made the rupiah strengthen by 0.29% compared to the closing the previous day at Rp 15,635 per US dollar. The movement of the rupiah is in line with currencies in the region.
Until 15.00 WIB, the South Korean won became the currency with the largest strengthening in Asia after closing up 0.46%.

Next, the Philippine peso closed up 0.42% and the Malaysian ringgit rose 0.40%. On the other hand, the Thai baht rose 0.32%.
Next, the Singapore dollar was seen rising 0.24%. Then there is the Japanese yen which appreciated 0.15%. Followed by, the Indian rupee which rose 0.08%.
Then, the Taiwan dollar was seen closing up 0.07% and the Chinese yuan strengthened slightly by 0.03% in today's trading.
Meanwhile, the Hong Kong dollar became the currency with the deepest weakening in Asia after falling 0.01% against the greenback.
