RUPIAH - JAKARTA. The spot rupiah closed at the level of Rp 15,631 per US dollar at the end of trading on Monday (19/2), weakening 0.05% from the end of last week which was at Rp 15,624 per US dollar.
In Asia, the rupiah weakened along with several other currencies. The Philippine peso weakened by 0.18%, the Taiwan dollar weakened by 0.12%, the Malaysian ringgit weakened by 0.11%, the Chinese yuan weakened by 0.05% and the rupiah also weakened by 0.05% against the US dollar.
Meanwhile, other Asian currencies strengthened against the US dollar this afternoon. The Singapore dollar recorded the largest increase of 0.14%, the Japanese yen rose 0.14%, the Thai baht rose 0.06%, the Korean won rose 0.03%, and the Hong Kong dollar rose 0.01% against the US dollar.

Meanwhile, the dollar index reflecting the exchange rate of the US dollar against the world's major currencies is at 104.18, down from the end of last week which was at 104.27.
