Spot Rupiah Closed Weaker at Rp 15,599 Per US Dollar Today (15/3)

ILUSTRASI. Friday (15/3), the spot rupiah weakened by 0.12% to Rp 15,599 per US dollar.


RUPIAH - JAKARTA. The exchange rate of the rupiah in the spot market continues to be pressured until the end of trading today. On Friday (15/3), the spot rupiah closed at the level of Rp 15,599 per US dollar.

This makes the spot rupiah weaken by 0.12% compared to the closing of the previous day at Rp 15,580 per US dollar. The movement of the rupiah is in line with the majority of currencies in Asia.

Until 15.00 WIB, the Hong Kong dollar is the only currency in Asia that strengthens after rising 0.01% against the greenback.

Meanwhile, the South Korean won is the currency with the deepest depreciation in Asia after closing down 0.9%.

Next, the Malaysian ringgit and the Taiwan dollar both depreciated by 0.38%. Followed by the Philippine peso which closed down 0.22%.

Then, the Japanese yen was pressured by 0.18% and the Singapore dollar slipped 0.13%. Then there is the Thai baht which weakened by 0.07%. 

Then, the Indian rupee was seen down 0.05% and the Chinese yuan weakened slightly by 0.03% in this afternoon's trading.
