CRUDE MINERAL EXPORT - JAKARTA. PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, a subsidiary of PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN), has officially joined the International Copper Association (ICA), becoming the first member from Southeast Asia, according to a written release on Wednesday (May 6, 2026).

ICA represents the global copper industry, promoting the metal’s value and strengthening demand as a critical material for a sustainable future. The association consists of 39 members across six continents, accounting for more than half of global copper production.

AMMAN’s membership reflects its commitment to responsible copper production and its growing role in supporting electrification and the global energy transition.

The move also brings Indonesia’s perspective into global discussions on copper, as the country plays an increasingly strategic role in regional and global supply chains.

AMMAN Director Naveen Chandralal said the decision to join ICA aligns with the company’s transformation across the copper value chain.

"This is a strategic step to support responsible and transparent copper production," he said in the written release on Wednesday (May 6, 2026).

ICA Chair Steven Rowland and CEO Juan Ignacio Diaz welcomed AMMAN’s entry, highlighting the company’s focus on advancing mining technology. “AMMAN strengthens our collective role in shaping the future of copper,” they said in the same release.

The membership comes as AMMAN completes its transition into a fully integrated mining-to-refining company, following the start of operations at its new smelter and precious metals refinery.
