RUPIAH - JAKARTA. The Indonesian rupiah has weakened against the U.S. dollar at the start of this week. On Monday (13/5), the rupiah's exchange rate fell by 0.21% to Rp 16.081 per U.S. dollar.
"The market is still weighing when the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates. Employment data and ISM make predicting a rate cut increasingly difficult," said Brendan McKenna, an emerging-markets currency strategist at Wells Fargo in New York, to Bloomberg.
