The Rupiah Spot Weakens 0.11% to Rp 15,800 Per US Dollar on Monday (25/3)

ILUSTRASI. The spot rupiah closed at the level of Rp 15,800 per US dollar at the end of trading on Monday (25/3).


RUPIAH - JAKARTA. The spot rupiah closed at the level of Rp 15,800 per US dollar at the end of trading on Monday (25/3), weakening 0.11% from the end of last week which was at Rp 15,783 per US dollar.

In Asia, the rupiah weakened along with several other currencies, namely the Korean won which weakened 0.30%, the Thai baht which weakened 0.17%, and the Philippine peso which weakened 0.16%.

Meanwhile, the majority of Asian currencies strengthened against the US dollar this afternoon.

The Chinese yuan recorded the largest increase of 0.32%, followed by the Taiwan dollar which rose 0.31%, the Malaysian ringgit rose 0.20%, the Singapore dollar rose 0.14%, the Japanese yen rose 0.07% and the Hong Kong dollar rose 0.009% against the US dollar.

Meanwhile, the dollar index reflecting the exchange rate of the US dollar against the world's major currencies is at 104.33, down from the end of last week which was at 104.43.
