IDX COMPOSITE (IHSG) - JAKARTA. The IDX Composite Index (IHSG) strengthened at the end of the first session today. On Friday (8/3), the IHSG strengthened by 0.33% or 24.04 points to 7,398 until the end of the first trading session on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI).
Five sectoral indices strengthened along with the IHSG. The transportation and logistics sector surged 0.73%. The infrastructure sector strengthened 0.72%. The financial sector rose 0.49%. The industrial sector strengthened 0.20%. The primary consumer goods sector climbed 0.15%.
Six sectors fell as the IHSG strengthened. The energy sector fell 0.25%. The technology sector was cut by 0.23%. The health sector fell 0.19%. The property and real estate sector eroded 0.16%. The non-primary consumer goods sector weakened 0.13%. The raw materials sector fell 0.13%.

The top gainers of LQ45 until noon today are:
- PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) 4.56%
- PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) 1.90%
- PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) 1.79%
The top losers of LQ45 consist of:
- PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) -4.42%
- PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI) -3.79%
- PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) -2.21%
The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 7.85 billion shares with a transaction value of IDR 7.51 trillion. As many as 257 stocks weakened. There are 239 stocks strengthening and 246 stocks flat.
The IHSG strengthened 1.18% in the last week. Meanwhile, since the beginning of the year, the IHSG has strengthened 1.72%.
