IDX COMPOSITE (IHSG) - JAKARTA. The IDX Composite Index (IHSG) in Indonesia, which opened higher, ended lower today. On Tuesday (7/5), the IHSG weakened by 0.17% or 12.28 points to 7,123.61 by the end of trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI).
Seven sectoral indices dragged the IHSG into the red zone. The transportation and logistics sector plunged 0.90%. The financial sector fell 0.78%. The technology sector was cut by 0.66%. The non-primary consumer goods sector fell 0.40%. The primary consumer goods sector eroded 0.32%. The industrial sector fell 0.22%. The property and real estate sector weakened by 0.06%.
Meanwhile, four sectors strengthened as the IHSG fell. The raw materials sector jumped 0.89%. The health sector climbed 0.64%. The infrastructure sector strengthened 0.36%. The energy sector rose 0.24%.

The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 19.34 billion shares with a transaction value of IDR 10.85 trillion. As many as 290 stocks weakened. There were 254 stocks that strengthened and 238 stocks remained flat.
The IHSG has been recorded to have fallen 0.45% in the last five trading days. Since the beginning of the year, the IHSG has fallen 2.05%.
