IDX COMPOSITE (IHSG) - JAKARTA. The IDX Composite Index (IHSG) experienced a decline in today's trading. On Wednesday (17/4), the IHSG weakened by 0.47% or 33.97 points to 7,130.84 by the end of trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI).

All sectoral indices weakened along with the IHSG. The raw materials sector plummeted by 2.48%. The technology sector collapsed by 2.42%. The transportation and logistics sector fell by 1.13%. The health sector was cut by 1.01%. 

The industrial sector plunged by 0.94%. The primary consumer goods sector eroded by 0.91%. The property and real estate sector fell by 0.40%. The energy sector declined by 0.39%. The infrastructure sector fell by 0.37%. The financial sector weakened by 0.33%. The non-primary consumer goods sector fell by 0.17%.

The top gainers of LQ45 today are:

  • PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) 3.33%
  • PT Pertamia Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) 1.68%
  • PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS) 1.46%

The top losers of LQ45 consist of:

  • PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) -9.24%
  • PT Bank Jago Tbk (ARTO) 7.83%
  • PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) -6.69%

The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 20.3 billion shares with a transaction value of IDR 12.13 trillion. As many as 362 stocks weakened. There were 208 stocks strengthening and 215 stocks remained flat.

The IHSG has been recorded to have fallen by 1.95% since the beginning of the year.
