Wijaya Karya (WIKA) Secures New Contracts IDR 3.17 Trillion as of February 2024

State-owned construction issuer PT Wijaya Karya Persero (WIKA) suffered a loss of IDR 5.84 trillion in the third quarter of 2023. This loss jumped 209 times compared to the previous year. LISTED COMPANY - JAKARTA. PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) has secured a new contract worth IDR 3.17 trillion until February 2024, an increase of 51.5% compared to the same period last year. 

Wijaya Kraya's Corporate Secretary, Mahendra Vijaya, explained that the largest contribution to the new contract came from the infrastructure and building construction segment at 53.7%, followed by Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC), industry and property, and investment.

Based on the composition of the employers, most of them come from the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and government sectors with a monthly progress payment scheme. "This contract achievement marks a good start to the year 2024," said Mahendra in a press release, Thursday (28/3).

The positive trend in terms of new contract achievements continues with the new contract for the Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Plant Rorotan project in North Jakarta, which is carried out in conjunction with Jaya Konstruksi Manggala Pratama Tbk (Jakon) in a consortium scheme (KSO).

This contract was signed by Andika Firmansyah from the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency and Harum Akhmad Zuhdi, Director of Operations II WIKA in Jakarta, Tuesday (26/3).
