RUPIAH - JAKARTA. The spot rupiah closed at the level of Rp 15,655 per US dollar at the end of trading on Thursday (7/3), strengthening 0.32% from the previous day which was at Rp 15,705 per US dollar.
In Asia, the majority of currencies strengthened against the US dollar. The Japanese yen was the currency with the largest increase, namely 0.98%, followed by the Malaysian ringgit which rose 0.76%, the rupiah was in third place with an increase of 0.32%.
The Korean won rose 0.29%, the Singapore dollar rose 0.19%, the Taiwan dollar rose 0.12%, the Hong Kong dollar rose 0.07%, the Philippine peso rose 0.07%, the Thai baht rose 0.06% and the Indian rupee rose 0.05% against the US dollar.

Meanwhile, the Chinese yuan weakened 0.01% against the US dollar.
Meanwhile, the dollar index reflecting the exchange rate of the US dollar against the world's major currencies is at 103.25, down from the previous day which was at 103.36.
