Rupiah Slips 0.19% to Rp 15,955 Per Dollar, Friday (17/5)

RUPIAH - JAKARTA. The Indonesian rupiah weakened against the U.S. dollar in the last trading session of the week. On Friday (17/5), the spot rupiah rate depreciated by 0.19% to Rp 15,955 per U.S. dollar.

Despite today's depreciation, the spot rupiah rate actually strengthened by 0.57% from the last trading position last week at Rp 16,047 per U.S. dollar, Wednesday (8/5). The rupiah rate has been below the Rp 16,000 level for the last two trading days.
