IDX Composite (IHSG) Rises 0.67% to 7,120 in Tuesday's (23/4) First Session

IDX COMPOSITE (IHSG) - JAKARTA. The IDX Composite Index (IHSG) strengthened until the end of the first trading session today. On Tuesday (23/4), the IHSG rose 0.67% or 47.15 points to 7,120.97 by the end of the first trading session at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

The strengthening of the IHSG was supported by the rise of nine sectoral indices. Only two sectors were recorded as declining. The transportation and logistics sector weakened by 0.10%. The health sector slightly weakened by 0.01%.

The energy sector surged 1.72%. The technology sector soared 1.15%. The non-primary consumer goods sector strengthened 0.89%. The property and real estate sector rose 0.89%. The financial sector lifted 0.47%. The infrastructure sector rose 0.29%. The raw materials sector strengthened 0.21%. The industrial sector slightly rose 0.01%.

The top gainers of LQ45 until noon today are:

• PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) 4.31%
• PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) 3.74%
• PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) 3.39%

The top losers of LQ45 consist of:

• PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) -4.10%
• PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) -1.98%
• PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) -1.89%

The total volume of stock exchange transactions reached 12.26 billion shares with a transaction value of IDR 6.28 trillion. As many as 270 stocks weakened. There are 265 stocks strengthening and 227 stocks flat.

The IHSG is still recorded as weakening by 0.61% within a week. Meanwhile, since the beginning of the year, the IHSG has fallen 2.09%.
