MACROECONOMICS – JAKARTA. Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati ensures that the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) will provide a healthy, strong, and credible budget legacy for the new government.
She stated that this legacy is the responsibility of the Ministry of Finance, so the newly elected government will be able to continue the existing pattern and continue the development goals.
“I think by respecting the political process and the results achieved by this government, especially the Ministry of Finance, it is our responsibility to ensure that we will provide a healthy, strong, and credible budget legacy,” said Sri Mulyani at the Mandiri Investment Forum 2024 agenda, Tuesday (5/3).

According to her, this leadership change is not the first time Indonesia has carried it out, so she is not too worried about the transition process that will occur in the future.
“It's interesting to observe from the perspective of news coverage, but the real task is how we all get certainty about what the new government considers as important priorities,” she said.
Furthermore, Sri Mulyani said that the Indonesian economy and fiscal policy always become a combination of ambition to continue creating progress or accelerate the targeted progress.
“But it must also ensure that its foundation will remain strong and sturdy, as well as healthy,” she added.
