Kenyan Government Visits Pertamina Geothermal (PGEO), Here's the Result

This is to further study the possibility of cooperation in the development of geothermal potential in Kenya and Indonesia.

The signing of this NDA was carried out by the President Director of PGE Julfi Hadi and the Managing Director & CEO of the Geothermal Development Company (GDC) Paul Ngungi.

The signing of this agreement was witnessed directly by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, on Wednesday (13/9) at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment.

According to Julfi, this cooperation with Kenya is an initial step for PGEO to become a world-class green energy company.

During the visit to Kenya, this red-plate issuer signed an agreement with Africa Geothermal International Limited (AGIL) to develop the Longonot Concession in Kenya, which has a development potential of up to 500 megawatts (MW). As many as 140 MW are ready to be exploited.

Regarding the progress of cooperation with AGIL, Julfi said, currently both parties are sharing data for the next 3 months. "Of course, there are many positive things for both countries in developing geothermal energy," concluded Julfi.
