INVESTMENT - JAKARTA. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) claims there are more than 30 investors currently queuing to do groundbreaking in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), East Kalimantan.
According to Jokowi, investment for development in IKN continues. The development is still in process.
"The investment is ongoing. And those queuing for groundbreaking again are already more than 30," said Jokowi during a working visit in Banyuwangi, East Java, Wednesday (27/12/2023).
Jokowi explained that more than 300 prospective investors have signed the Letter of Intent (LoI) so far.
"So everything is still in process," said Jokowi.
Jokowi detailed that the real investment entering the Nusantara Capital City has reached IDR 41 trillion.
"Yesterday we checked, and the hotel construction is 34 percent ongoing. There are hospitals 15 to 20 percent. Everything is ongoing," revealed Jokowi.
"Because we continuously check the progress. The development. So the city's real investment is IDR 41 trillion," he added.
According to Jokowi, currently, many constructions are ongoing in IKN. They start from hospitals, hotels, sports halls, malls, residences, apartments, and properties, to schools.
"Everything is there," Jokowi emphasized.
Although it is still in process, not all projects will be completed in 2024. Some of the projects will be completed in 2025.
"So everything is in the construction process. Indeed, the completion is in 2024. Some will be completed next year," Jokowi concluded.
