ISSUER - JAKARTA. PT Pelayaran Nelly Dwi Putri Tbk (NELY) stated that they have not yet achieved their revenue and new contract targets for 2023. Ria Novriani Putri, NELY's Corporate Secretary, said that efforts to improve performance will continue to be pursued.
"Performance improvements are still ongoing at the end of 2023, but the targets for revenue and new contracts for 2023 have not been achieved," Ria explained when contacted by Kontan on Tuesday (6/2).
Just so you know, last year the company aimed for a revenue target of around IDR 500 billion. Meanwhile, net profit was expected to reach IDR 289 billion.
They are still striving for efficiency in their operations. This is done to minimize the challenges faced by the company last year.
In the third quarter of 2023, this shipping issuer still managed to achieve significant growth. Even NELY's net profit soared to triple digits. The profit for the year attributable to NELY's parent entity reached IDR 117.99 billion as of September 30, 2023, or rocketed 135.65% year on year (YoY).
As of September 30, 2023, NELY booked revenue of IDR 387.47 billion or grew 89.51% YoY from IDR 204.45 billion. Ship rental income contributed IDR 330.91 billion or soared 99.11% YoY. Then, ship maintenance and repair services contributed IDR 56.56 billion.
"This year, Nelly is targeting a performance growth of 15% from the achievement in 2023. As for the positive catalysts for Nelly's business this year, Nelly is still focused on the tug and barge business," added Ria.
Not only that, in 2024, NELY also plans to add 2 tugboats and 2 barges. Last year, NELY added 5 tugboat units and 5 barge units.
Thus, NELY has 32 tugboat units and 32 barge units of various sizes ranging from 270 feet to 300 feet.
Regarding capex, NELY allocated 30% of the 2023 allocation of IDR 200 billion for capex. This capex will be allocated for fleet addition.
"The capex provided this year is estimated at 30%, this is allocated for fleet addition," she said.
