Mandom Indonesia (TCID) Prepares Capital Expenditure IDR 70 Billion for 2024

LISTED COMPANY - JAKARTA. PT Mandom Indonesia Tbk (TCID), a company specializing in the production and trade of cosmetics, is optimistic that its performance this year will surpass that of the previous year.

The company continues to implement its business strategy by regularly releasing new products. 

To support this strategy, TCID has allocated a capital expenditure budget similar to last year's, approximately IDR 70 billion in 2024.

This capital expenditure is planned for maintenance, including the addition or replacement of machinery.

Mandom Indonesia's Corporate Secretary, Alia Risyamaya Dewi, stated that to achieve positive performance this year, the company will strengthen its position in product categories that have been TCID's strengths, such as hairstyling and base makeup products. 

"Essentially, we are striving to expand our market reach, both offline and online, to make it easier for consumers to access our products," she said when contacted by Kontan.co.id, on Sunday (28/4).

In terms of products, TCID plans to introduce new products this year to meet consumer needs. The launch of new products will continue, encompassing various product categories from the company's brands. 

Despite optimism in the beauty product market, TCID has not yet disclosed its desired performance targets. However, the largest contribution to sales still comes from three main categories: hair care, fragrance, and skincare & makeup.

"Looking at the performance in the first quarter of 2024, it was quite good, with net sales of Rp 405.6 billion,"  she said. 

For your information, Mandom Indonesia produces and trades skin care products, hair care products, cosmetics, and perfumes. Its famous products include Lucido~L, Pixy, Pucelle, Gatsby, Fresh n Fresh, and Johnny Andrean.

In addition to the domestic market, TCID is also expanding its market to several export destination countries. Alia stated that the company is currently strengthening its export market, especially in Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), India, and all ASEAN countries.
