Local TV channels Indosiar and SCTV to merge

JAKARTA. The parent company of Indosiar, PT Indosiar Karya Media, plans to merge with the parent company of Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV), PT Surya Citra Media.

Indosiar chief director Handoko said the merger plans received approval from the board of commissioners on Feb.18.

“The meeting with the board of commissioners resulted in the support of the merger plans as long as the plans are based on existing regulations,” he said. (The Jakarta Post)
