JCI edged down by 1 point in session I


MARKET AND STOCK TRADING - JAKARTA. The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed trading transactions with a slight decline on Monday (10/22). The index had strengthened in early trade.

At 12.00 WIB, the JCI closed with a slight correction of 1 point or 0.02% to 5,836.24.

In the first half of trading, 186 stocks advanced, 168 other shares weakened, and 116 shares did not move.

Four stock sectors jumped high. The infrastructure sector recorded the highest increase of 1.44%. Meanwhile, the trade sector experienced the biggest decline of 0.75%.

The Lippo Group's shares, PT Matahari Department Store (LPPF) became the most sold shares this morning and recorded an 11.11% decline to Rp 5,000 per share at the end of the first session. PT Kalbe Farma Tbk (KBLF) also dropped 2.9% to Rp 1,340 per share. While PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP) shares fell 2.51% to Rp 16,475 per share.

Shares that rose high in session I included PT Elnusa Tbk (ELSA) with a gain of 2.17% to Rp 376 per share, PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) of 2.16% to Rp 2,840, and PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM ) of 2.01% to Rp. 80,050 per share. (Translator: Barratut Taqiyyah Rafie)
