PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) is increasing the regular schedule for the Whoosh Fast Train from the previous 44 trips per day to 48 trips per day in May 2024 with the first departure schedule from Halim Station starting at 06.40 WIB and Tegalluar Station at 05.50 WIB. HIGH-SPEED TRAIN - JAKARTA. The Whoosh high-speed rail line is reportedly set to be extended to Surabaya. 

However, Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi stated that the plan is still under review. Currently, PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC) is proposing the extension of the line.
