INDONESIA - JAKARTA. Indonesia's rupiah fell to its lowest in more than six months while stocks rose nearly 2% on Wednesday, after the central bank delivered a surprise rate cut to support economic growth despite recent weakness in its currency.
The rupiah declined 0.46% to 16,335 per dollar, its weakest since early July, while stocks in Jakarta jumped 1.8% in their biggest intraday gain in roughly six weeks.
