Indonesia Starts Exporting Electricity to Papua New Guinea Starting Today

EXPORT - IMPORT - JAKARTA. NEW YORK. Indonesian President Joko Widodo, popularly known as Jokowi, welcomed Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister James Marape to the Bogor Presidential Palace. The primary focus of their discussion was Indonesia's support for development in Papua New Guinea. 

President Jokowi announced that the state electricity company, PLN, in collaboration with PNG Power, Papua New Guinea's electricity company, would begin supplying electricity to the village of Wutung Vanimo in Papua New Guinea, located on the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, starting Monday (15/7).
