Indonesia opens tourism office in Paris

LONDON. The Indonesian Tourism Ministry and its embassy in France have opened a National Tourism Office in Paris, France, to promote the country's tourism potential among the local and international community.

"Over the past few years until December last year, Indonesia's tourism was promoted by Gael De La Porte Du Theil (Tourism Interface)," Eka Moncarre, head of Indonesia's National Tourism Office, noted in a statement received by Antara here on Thursday.

According to Moncarre, as the largest archipelagic country in the world, the presence of the Indonesian tourism office in France is highly expected.

Eka hoped the tourism office would introduce Indonesia to the French people, in particular, as well as the global community regarding the tourist attractions in the country.

"We also provide information to people who will travel and have a vacation in Indonesia," Eka noted.

Eka affirmed that the visitors, especially those involved in the travel industry, such as tour operators, travel agents, airlines, and other associations can utilize the service of the Indonesian tourism office to explore business opportunities in the country.
