DRUG TRAFFICKING - JAKARTA. NEW YORK. The Indonesian National Police's Task Force for the Prevention of Circulation and Abuse of Drugs (P3GN) has seized a number of assets belonging to drug lord Fredy Pratama, estimated to be worth 432.2 billion Indonesian Rupiah.
The head of the P3GN Task Force and Deputy Chief of the Criminal Investigation Agency (Wakabareskrim) of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri, explained that these assets were obtained during the arrest of Pratama's associates in the drug trafficking network.
“The total seizure of assets from Fredy Pratama's network is worth 432.2 billion Rupiah,” Asep stated at the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Indonesian National Police on Monday (5/6/2024).
Asep has not yet detailed what assets of Fredy's have been seized or their quantity. He only stated that currently, 60 of Fredy Pratama's associates have been arrested.
Of these, 45 have entered the second stage of investigation, which is the process of transferring case files and suspects to the prosecutor's office.
In addition, there is one suspect whose case file has been returned to the prosecutor's office to be completed by the police investigator.
“So there is one suspect named Bayu Firmandi, and 14 others are still under investigation,” said Asep.
As per the information, Fredy Pratama is a drug lord of an international network trafficking methamphetamine and ecstasy in Malaysia and Indonesia.
Pratama is still at large, suspected to be hiding in Thailand. He is known by the aliases The Secret, Cassanova, Mojopahit, and Airbag.
It is also reported that he has altered his identity and appearance through plastic surgery.
