PENERBANGAN - JAKARTA. Dubai-based airline Emirates is set to move its operations from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport's Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 starting Jan. 7.
In a statement, state-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura II (AP II) advised passengers to pay attention to their booked tickets to ensure they arrived in the right terminal.
"AP II also advises passengers to arrive early at the airport to avoid getting stuck in traffic," said the airport's executive general manager, M. Suriawan Wakan, as quoted by kompas.com.
The operator is conducting infrastructure development in a bid to increase passenger and aircraft capacity.
Terminal 3 itself is said to support various facilities with advanced and modern technology.
Emirates will join other international airlines that have already moved to Terminal 3, such as Singapore Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Japan Airlines and Thai Airways.
