China's Consumer Prices Rise Less than Expected in June

CHINA - BEIJING. China's consumer price inflation slowed in June, while producer price deflation persisted, as Beijing's support measures set a bumpy economic recovery in motion for the world's second-largest economy.

The consumer price index (CPI) in June rose 0.2% from a year earlier, against a 0.3% rise in May, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed on Wednesday, below a 0.4% increase predicted by economists in a Reuters poll.
