Yogyakarta: Budget airline Air Asia Indonesia says it will launch service between Yogyakarta and Bali on June 8.
“With this new route, tourists who aim to go to Bali from Yogyakarta won’t have to transit through Jakarta anymore,” Air Asia Indonesia president director Dharmadi said on Tuesday in Yogyakarta.
The airline will offer daily service from Bali to Yogyakarta at 6 a.m. and from Yogyakarta to Bali at 6:35 a.m.
One-way tickets have been priced at Rp 149,000 (US$16.24) from June 8 to Jan. 31, 2013.
Yogyakarta Tourism Agency head M. Tazbir welcomed the new route, saying that it would boost the tourism in the province. (The Jakarta Post)
