OIL AND GAS - JAKARTA. PT Nusantara Regas (NR), a subsidiary of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), reported a revenue of US$ 81.08 million for the fiscal year 2023. The revenue was generated from LNG regasification services using the Floating Storage & Regasification Unit (FSRU) in West Java. 

Mohd. Iskandar Mirza, the CEO of PT Nusantara Regas, stated that the company has distributed 89.54 million MMBTU of gas from the receipt of 32.45 LNG cargoes for vital power plants in Jakarta and West Java.

Nusantara Regas also demonstrated operational reliability with a Plant Availability Factor reaching 97.37% and a Plant Thermal Efficiency of 98.54%. From its inception in 2011 until 2023, Nusantara Regas has recorded 12,564,153 safe working hours, proving its serious and consistent commitment to HSSE implementation. 

“Our shining achievements in 2023 are proof of our efforts to add value for our stakeholders. This makes us optimistic about achieving even better results,” said Iskandar in an official statement on Wednesday (22/5).

In terms of business expansion, Iskandar revealed that NR is focusing on developing the company's steps as a provider of retail LNG gas infrastructure in Indonesia to promote the use of environmentally friendly energy. NR will also integrate its facilities with Pertamina's Gas Subholding to support energy resilience for the community. 

”We believe LNG is the future of Indonesia's energy and the resilience and availability of energy can no longer be negotiated," said Iskandar.

He added that NR is confident it can play a significant role, one of which is the provision of LNG Bunkering and Breakbulking facilities, thus supporting Indonesia's energy independence. This adds to NR's portfolio, which was previously the company that operated the first FSRU in Southeast Asia.

Fadjar Djoko Santoso, Vice President of Corporate Communication at PT Pertamina (Persero), stated that Pertamina continues to push the performance of gas business as a transition energy managed by the Gas Subholding and all its subsidiaries.

"The positive performance of Nusantara Regas as a subsidiary of PGN will strengthen Pertamina's gas business in the energy transition era," added Fadjar.

For your information, Nusantara Regas is an affiliate of PT Pertamina (Persero) established in collaboration with PT Perusahaan Gas Negara, Tbk. It operates the Floating Storage & Regasification Unit (FSRU) in West Java in the waters of Jakarta Bay, underwater pipelines, and the Onshore Receiving Facility in Muara Karang, DKI Jakarta.

This facility receives and processes LNG for energy for three power plants that play a vital role in Jakarta and West Java.
