JAKARTA. A young tax official charged with accepting gratuities and bribes, Dhana Widyatmika, arrived at the Attorney General’s Office’s (AGO) office in South Jakarta on Thursday morning to face a questioning session.
"We have just arrived here, we don't know what the AGO will ask our client," Dhana's lawyer Daniel Afredo told reporters.
Dhana was joined by three lawyers, including Johanes Huka and Reza.
Dhana was named a suspect last week after the AGO received information from the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK) that he was suspected of having Rp 60 billion (US$6.6 million) in several bank accounts.
The AGO has announced that it will also question Dhana's wife, Dian Anggraini, who is also a tax official and who may have assisted her husband in his alleged corrupt practices. (Rabby Pramudatama/ The Jakarta Post)
