FINANCIAL REPORT - JAKARTA. PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk (WSBP) has reported a new contract value (NKB) for the first quarter of 2024 of IDR 1.03 trillion, an increase of more than double or 137.57% compared to the same period in 2023.
This NKB growth is dominated by the construction services segment amounting to IDR 432.28 billion. The NKB earnings in the first quarter of 2024 have reached 40% of the NKB targeted by WSBP in 2024.
“WSBP has successfully implemented an external marketing strategy to acquire new projects by developing a product strategy portfolio, strengthening brand positioning, developing sales and marketing capabilities, and enhancing the application of the latest technology and innovation, thus increasing the external market share by 2 times compared to the same period last year,” revealed Fandy Dewanto, Vice President of Corporate Secretary Waskita Beton Precast in a press release received by Kontan, Tuesday (16/4).

New external project contracts dominate the total NKB earnings of WSBP this year. WSBP's extensive portfolio and good customer satisfaction value are some of the factors increasing external customer trust in WSBP to work on large projects
Among them are the Construction Work of Container Yard (CY) and Supporting Infrastructure of Batu Ampar Batam Container Terminal (TPK), Construction of Enim 1 - Enim 2 Bridge Retaining Wall, Serang - Panimbang Toll Road Construction Project Section III, Probolinggo Banyuwangi Toll Road Construction Project Package 3, and Nusantara International Convention and Exhibition @District 18 PIK 2 Project.
“Thanks to the satisfaction and trust of project owners in one of WSBP's business lines, namely construction services, WSBP can build sturdy infrastructure projects for public use,” continued Fandy.
Customer satisfaction has led to a drastic increase in the value of new contracts for this business line by 1174% compared to last year.
WSBP is also trusted to work on several construction projects such as the Construction of the Enim 1 - Enim 2 Bridge Retaining Wall and the Construction of the Container Yard (CY) & Supporting Infrastructure of Batu Ampar Batam Container Terminal (TPK).
Fandy mentioned that WSBP has 5 Sales Areas spread across all regions of Indonesia to facilitate obtaining new projects. WSBP can reach the external market through these Sales Areas and get new potential customers.
The new contract value of WSBP is supported by the Precast sector amounting to Rp 207.97 billion or 20.27% and Readymix amounting to IDR 383.10 billion or 37.34%.
WSBP management is optimistic that in 2024 the company's performance will continue to improve with contributions from WSBP's business lines, especially in the construction segment.
