SMARTPHONE / PONSEL PINTAR - JAKARTA. Vivo has successfully become the market leader in the mobile phone market in Indonesia with a market share of 19% in the fourth quarter of 2023. The company also recorded an annual growth rate of 13%. This was revealed through a recent research released by Canalys.
VIVO Indonesia's Public Relations Manager, Alexa Tiara, said that the positive achievement in the fourth quarter of 2023 was due to the impressive sales of the Y series and V series.
“Of course, we are very happy to see that report. As a consumer-oriented company, vivo always strives to launch products that meet the diverse needs of its community,” Tiara told Kontan on Monday (18/3).
Tiara stated, Vivo will continue to launch the Y Series targeted at young people or those with high productivity. This series is also equipped with a capable design and camera. Meanwhile, the V Series has a high-quality camera capability with a design and performance that can be relied upon.
Tiara stated, Vivo is also very optimistic about the smartphone industry in Indonesia in 2024, as the company is preparing to present a flagship product that has been eagerly awaited by the Indonesian market.
In the research, Xiaomi ranked second with a market share of 18% and an annual growth of 40%. Samsung is in third place with a market share of 18%. This South Korean technology company experienced an annual growth of 1%.
Next in line is Transsion, the parent company of Infinix, Tecno and Itel, which recorded a market share of 18% with a very impressive annual growth of 147%. Meanwhile, Oppo is the last this time with a market share of 16% and an annual decline of 41%.
