CORPORATE STRATEGIC – JAKARTA. PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) is targeting a production and sales of ferronickel amounting to 22,464 tons of nickel in ferronickel (TNi) in 2024.
The Company Secretary of ANTM, Syarif Faisal Alkadrie, stated that ANTM is also targeting a production of nickel ore as much as 20.58 million wet metric tons (wmt) with sales focused on the domestic market amounting to 18.75 million wmt.
Amid the turmoil of nickel prices, ANTM is still striving to continue optimizing the production and sales of nickel commodity products.
“For nickel ore, ANTM focuses on making sales in the domestic market. Meanwhile, for ferronickel products, it is absorbed by the export market,” he said to Kontan, Thursday (14/3).
In 2024, ANTM is still striving to improve the production and sales performance of all the company's core commodities in order to record optimal performance.
ANTM will focus on the strategy of developing a customer base domestically, especially for gold products, nickel ore, and bauxite.
“The company will also focus on careful cost management efforts across all operational lines, maintaining cash cost to remain competitive and efficient, and continue to innovate business across all business lines,” he revealed.
Faisal stated, ANTM is also committed to continuously developing strategic projects as a form of support for mineral downstreaming and continues to focus on conducting sustainable business.
“We believe that the nickel downstreaming program initiated by the government will be able to provide added value to the commodities managed by ANTAM, including nickel commodities,” he said.
