KPK - JAKARTA. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) indicates a backdate of Meikarta Project licensing documents.
KPK spokesman, Febri Diansyah said, the KPK was exploring the backdate indication information. There is a backward date of Meikarta licensing documents such as recommendations before the issuance of Building Permits and environmental permits, as well as firefighting. The KPK suspects Meikarta's licensing problems have occurred since the beginning.
"Related to this, the KPK also traced whether the developer had built the Melakarta project before the local government issued a permit," said Febri.
According to Febri, the local government must carry out the licensing process properly to reduce environmental risks such as flooding in property development locations.
On Tuesday (13/11), the KPK conducted an examination of witnesses namely Joko Mulyono, Head of the Legal Section of the Regency Government of Bekasi, Asep Efendi, the Regent's Private Guard and Daniel Firdaus, Head of the Public Works Office of the Public Works Department of Bekasi.
The KPK focused its examination on the licensing process and the meeting between the Bupati and other parties related to the Meikarta project. (Translator: Barratut Taqiyyah Rafie)
