RUPIAH - JAKARTA. The spot rupiah closed at the level of Rp 15,793 per US dollar at the end of trading on Tuesday (26/3), strengthening 0.04% from the previous day which was at Rp 15,800 per US dollar.
In Asia, the majority of currencies strengthened against the US dollar. The Korean won recorded the largest increase of 0.22%, followed by the Singapore dollar which strengthened 0.11%, the Malaysian ringgit rose 0.09%, the Indian rupee rose 0.09%, the Philippine peso rose 0.09%, the Japanese yen rose 0.05% and the rupiah rose 0.04% against the US dollar.
Meanwhile, other Asian currencies weakened against the US dollar. The Taiwan dollar weakened 0.15%, the Chinese yuan weakened 0.10%, the Thai baht weakened 0.06% and the Hong Kong dollar weakened 0.01% against the US dollar.

Meanwhile, the dollar index reflecting the exchange rate of the US dollar against the world's major currencies is at 104.17, down from the previous day which was at 104.22.
