KURS RUPIAH - JAKARTA. The rupiah strengthened this afternoon. Friday (2/11), in the spot market at 14:17 WIB, the rupiah strengthened to the level of Rp 15,039 per US dollar from yesterday's position at the level of 15.128.
The rupiah in the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (JISDOR) also rose to Rp. 15,089 per US dollar. While yesterday, the rupiah was still at the level of 15,195.
Fixed Income Analyst MNC Securities, I Made Adi Saputra, said that the implementation of the Domestic Non-Deliverable Forward (DNDF) transaction as of 1 November 2018 was quite effective in maintaining the stability of the rupiah exchange rate.
CSA Research Institute Senior Analyst Reza Priyambada said that there are factors that support the rupiah.
First, market players assess the inflation rate in October at 0.28 percent (MoM) is still low, giving a positive sentiment to the rupiah.
Secondly, the approval of the 2019 State Budget (APBN) with a fiscal deficit below 2% accompanied by a decrease in yields.
"As for the factors from the global, Brexit negotiations between the European Union and Britain experienced positive progress. In addition, EU inflation data increased and had a positive impact on the position of EUR / USD. These factors affected the strengthening of the rupiah," he said.
