TEXTILE INDUSTRY - JAKARTA. PADALARANG, INDONESIA. The textile and textile product (TPT) industry is under threat of another downturn. This follows the government's decision to issue the Minister of Trade Regulation (Permendag) 8/2024 as the third amendment to Permendag 36/2023 on Import Policy and Regulation.
A key point of Permendag 8/2024 is the abolition of the obligation to issue Technical Considerations (Pertek) to obtain Import Approval (PI).
