Textile-Footwear Businesses Urge Stricter Import Rules

TEXTILE INDUSTRY - JAKARTA. Domestic textile industry entrepreneurs have expressed disappointment over the relaxation of import regulations. The Indonesian Textile Association (API) believes that the government's move to ease import rules will deal a blow to the domestic industry sector. 

This demand is based on the move by the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) which issued the Minister of Trade Regulation (Permendag) No. 8/2024 on the Third Amendment to the Minister of Trade Regulation No. 36/2023 on Import Policy and Regulation.
