JAKARTA. Publicly listed telecommunications tower provider PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure (TBIG) booked Rp 781 billion (US$68.7 million) in revenue in the first quarter this year, a 26.5 percent increase from Rp 617.4 billion in the same period last year.
TBIG CEO Hardi Wijaya said that he projected stronger growth for his company this year on the back of increased demand.
“In the first quarter alone, we added 516 new build-to-suit telecommunications sites to assist our customers’ network expansion,” he said.
As of the end of March, TBIG had 17,222 tenants and 10,572 telecommunications sites, comprising 9,382 towers, 1,040 shelter-only sites and 150 distributed antenna system (DAS) networks.
