JAKARTA. PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) is targeting to secure a 13.3 percent share of the Indonesian auto market this year.
“We aim to sell 162,500 cars from the total car sales estimates of 1.23 million units nationwide by year-end,” said SIS sales director Davy Tulian as quoted by kontan.co.id.
He was confident that SIS would achieve the target because it successfully sold 148,967 units from a total of 1.13 million cars sold nationwide in the January-November period.
We had launched several new car models to maintain the success we had achieved, he added.
Davy said that this year alone, SIS launched six new models, including some with automatic transmission, the Swift Sport and Karimun Wagon R.
“We also added 50 after-sale service points across the country, making a total of 254 outlets, 144 service points and 110 sale points nationwide,” he said.
Based on our current results, we aim to gain a 16.7 percent market share next year, he added.
