South Korea's Investment Accelerates Electric Car Project in Indonesia

ELECTRIC VEHICLE - JAKARTA. The landscape of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Indonesia is shifting. South Korean investors are beginning to overtake Japan in the top five countries investing in Indonesia in the second quarter of 2024.

During the period of April-May 2024, South Korean investors made significant inroads into Indonesia with an investment of US$ 1.3 billion or IDR 21.17 trillion (exchange rate US$ 1=IDR 16,286). This investment from South Korea even surpassed that of the United States, which stood at US$ 0.9 billion.
