JAKARTA. Jakarta Traffic Police have prepared some traffic detours to anticipate fuel price hike rallies in the capital on Friday.
Jakarta Traffic Police deputy chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Wahyono said his personnel would be deployed to direct the traffic to alternative to ease gridlock throughout the city.
"Should we observe the presence of huge crowds of protesters, we will go with the planned detours," Wahyono was quoted by tribunnews.com.
Locations prone to traffic jams are as follows:
1. State Palace on Jl. Medan Merdeka Utara in Central Jakarta
2. House of Representatives complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta
3. Tugu Tani Monument in Central Jakarta
4. Hotel Indonesia traffic circle on Jl. MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta
5. Pertamina's office in Central Jakarta
6. Jakarta Legal Aid Institute (LBH Jakarta) office on Jl. Diponegoro, Central Jakarta.
