JAKARTA. Shell Bitumen, a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc, has expressed its readiness to support the government’s massive infrastructure projects by supplying high quality bitumen.
Since its establishment in Indonesia in 2008, Shell Bitumen has supplied bitumen products for highways and airport runways, among other things.
“We have been working with our partner contractors here in Indonesia to grow our business over the past few years and we are proud to know every day, millions of Indonesians experience a smooth journey thanks to our bitumen products. We look forward to supporting more of the government’s projects in the coming years,” Tan Yew Chong, Shell Bitumen’s country manager for Indonesia and Singapore, recently said in a release.
The company ships the bitumen directly from Shell’s Pulau Bukom manufacturing site in Singapore and it is stored in local terminals throughout Indonesia.
Shell Bitumen has supplied the bitumen used to pave several major roads throughout the country, including the Jakarta-Cikampek, Purbaleunyi, Surabaya-Mojokerto and the Semarang-Solo toll roads.
