Segar Kumala (BUAH) Allocates IDR 16 Billion in Odal Expenditures This Year

FOOD AND BEVERAGES - JAKARTA. PT Segar Kumala Indonesia Tbk (BUAH) is preparing a capital expenditure (capex) of IDR 16 billion for the year 2024. 

The Corporate Secretary of PT Segar Kumesia Tbk Syanne stated that the management has set a spending capital of IDR 16 billion with three main objectives: to open new cold storage, add refrigerated fleets, and modernize office facilities to increase productivity and operational efficiency of the company.

“The construction of cold storage with modern facilities is in line with the company's steps to continuously present fresh & quality fruit products to the Indonesian community. The increasing market demand also encourages management to continuously present cold storage to new reach areas so that the community can more easily access fresh and quality fruit products,” revealed Syanne, in a press release received by Kontan.co.id, Monday (19/2). 

 

 

Part of the spending capital will also be used to purchase refrigerated car fleets that will strengthen the company's distribution chain and minimize losses due to product damage during delivery, making the company's operations more efficient.

Syanne added, that this year BUAH has a new focus to modernize office equipment in terms of information technology, communication, and other equipment used in office operations.

The upgrade of increasingly sophisticated equipment following the development of the times is expected to improve the work and productivity of the team and is also expected to provide better service to consumers.

Currently, BUAH has 14 branches spread across various regions of Indonesia with a total storage capacity of 7,505 tons and has successfully recorded positive performance by booking revenue of IDR 1.33 trillion in the third quarter of 2023. 

Not only in the imported fruit sector, the company's frozen chicken distribution sector also increased significantly throughout the fiscal year 2023, recording an increase of 202.2% compared to the previous fiscal year.
