REGULATION - JAKARTA. President Joko Widodo summoned several ministers to the Presidential Palace. According to Moeldoko's Presidential Chief of Staff, the ministers will discuss revised the Law on Manpower.
"This meeting discussed Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower (Labor Law)," Moeldoko said at the Presidential Palace on Monday (24/6).
The revised Labor Law was one of the inputs from the businessman. "It seems like that (want to be revised), we hear the voice of the association," Moeldoko explained.
Previously Jokowi met with several entrepreneurs including the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association, the Indonesian Employers' Association, and the Association of Entrepreneurs of the Indonesian Shopping Centers.
Jokowi also asked for input from micro, small, and medium enterprises. The Indonesian Micro and Small Entrepreneurs Association, the Indonesian MSME Association, the Indonesian Association of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, and the Indonesian Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Association also submitted policy proposals to Jokowi.
Several ministers present included Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Panjaitan.
Also, there is Minister of Home Affairs Tjahjo Kumolo, Minister of Manpower Hanif Dhakiri, Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Communication and Information Rudiantara, Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly, and Deputy Minister of Finance Mardiasmo.
