JAKARTA.  Unlike most citizens, who have a day’s holiday during tomorrow’s elections, those who work in health and other public services will go to work as normal.

“Civil servants will take a day off except those in the public service sector, like in hospitals, health centers, fire stations, police integration administration services [samsat] and the Public Order Agency [Satpol PP],” said Jakarta Employment Agency (BKD) head I Made Karmayoga said on Tuesday as quoted by Antara news agency.

According to the latest data, as many as 70,536 civil servants are registered in the final voter list (DPT).

“We’re encouraging civil servants to cast their vote. We guarantee there will be no cheating, including influencing them to vote for certain figures,” he said.
