Prudential Syariah Appoints Iskandar Ezzahuddin Ahmad as the New President Director

INSURANCE - JAKARTA. PT Prudential Sharia Life Assurance (Prudential Syariah) has officially appointed Iskandar Ezzahuddin Ahmad Zulkiflee as President Director (Presdir).

Iskandar has had quite a lot of leadership experience. Among them are the founders of several financial technology start-ups, including Malaysia's first e-payment petrol platform, Malaysia's first virtual life insurance platform, and Gobear (an aggregator site for insurance).

In 2021, Iskandar joined Prudential as Chief Marketing Officer of Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad (PBTB).

His contribution was also expanded with the appointment of Iskandar as CEO of DEEN by Prudential, which builds a Sharia technology ecosystem that includes various entities under Prudential.

Iskandar said, Indonesia has vast potential for the Sharia industry with the largest Muslim population in the world, reaching 240.62 million people (86.7% of the total population in Indonesia).

"Therefore, I am optimistic to continue efforts to increase the penetration rate of Sharia insurance and strengthen Indonesia's position in the global Sharia market," Iskandar revealed in an official statement, on Thursday (25/1).

Iskandar added, that Prudential Syariah has made claim payments of IDR 1.6 trillion at the end of the third quarter in 2023, where as many as 79,000 participants have been helped through the disbursement of these claims.

In 2023, Prudential Syariah also launched a series of innovative PAYDI products, including PRULink NextGen Syariah (PNGS) and PRUPrime Healthcare Plus Pro Syariah.

"We are committed to continuing to concentrate on product and service development," he said.
