CORPORATE STRATEGIC - JAKARTA. PT Pradiksi Gunatama Tbk (PGUN) is optimistic about achieving better palm oil production performance this year. This is due to the expected positive growth of Fresh Fruit Bunches (TBS) and Crude Palm Oil (CPO) production compared to last year.

The Corporate Secretary of Pradiksi Gunatama, Muhammad Reza, stated that the company has a TBS production target of 359,144 tons in 2024. This target is an increase of 52,647 tons or about 17% from the TBS production realization last year of 306,497 tons.

PGUN also targets a crude palm oil (CPO) production of 79,012 tons in 2024. This target is an increase of about 7,056 tons or 10% from the CPO production realization of PGUN in 2023, which was 71,956 tons.

"There is a target increase of 17% for TBS and 10% for CPO in 2024," Reza told Kontan on Wednesday (21/2).

Reza stated that the company is optimistic about achieving the production level targeted this year. This is because 35% of the company's palm plants are currently young. In addition, the company continues to maintain the plants and improve fertilization.

"Then we carry out a thorough harvest of each plant and maintain the harvest rotation. We also minimize losses (loss of oil quantity) and maintain the quality of the harvest to increase the OER (Oil Extraction Rate)," he said.
