PLN Ready to Supply Electricity for Freeport's Smelter in Gresik

SMELTER INDUSTRIES - JAKARTA. - JAKARTA. PT PLN (Persero), the state-owned electricity company, is prepared to supply electricity to support the smooth production of PT Freeport Indonesia's (PTFI) smelter at the Java Integrated Industrial and Port Estate (JIIPE) in Gresik, East Java.

It's worth noting that PTFI's smelter is the world's largest single-line cathode refining plant, capable of reaching a production capacity of up to 1.7 million tons. In addition to producing copper cathodes, the smelter can also produce gold and silver bars, as well as Platinum Group Metals (PGM).
